How do we know that being a peacemaker is important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Being a peacemaker is vital because it reflects the transformative work of Christ in believers’ lives.

In James 3:18, we see that 'the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.' This connection indicates that true righteousness is cultivated in a peaceful environment. Christians are called to be peacemakers not only as a demonstration of their faith but also as a means through which righteousness is produced. Living out peace is an essential aspect of being a follower of Christ, who Himself is our peace (Ephesians 2:14).
