How do we know that being dead to the law is true?

Believers find assurance of being dead to the law through multiple scriptural affirmations, particularly Romans 7:4, which states, 'Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ.' This verse underlines the doctrine of union with Christ wherein His death becomes our death to the law's demands.
