How do we know that being fruitful is important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Being fruitful is crucial for Christians as it indicates obedience to God and glorifies Him through the manifestation of the Spirit's work in our lives.

Being fruitful is vital for Christians as it is directly linked to their identity in Christ. As stated in John 15:8, 'Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit.' This verse establishes that fruitfulness in a believer's life is a manifestation of their abiding relationship with Christ, the true vine. The fruit we bear reflects God's character and the transformative work of the Holy Spirit. Thus, as believers respond in obedience to God's commands and trust in His grace, they become vessels through which God exhibits His love, joy, and peace to the world, glorifying Him in every good work done through faith.
