How do we know that being saved is truly secure?

Answered in 1 source

We know our salvation is secure because it is based on God's covenant promises and Christ's completed work, which cannot fail.

The security of salvation is rooted in the covenant of grace established by God. In John 6:37-39, Jesus assures us that all whom the Father gives to Him will come to Him, and He will never cast them out. This clearly shows that our salvation depends on God's initiative and His faithfulness rather than our performance. Romans 8:38-39 further emphasizes that nothing can separate us from the love of God, highlighting that Christ's redemptive work secures our salvation forever. Therefore, assurance in our salvation arises from resting in the promises of God and the efficacy of Christ’s atonement.
