How do we know that belief in Christ leads to rest?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures that those who truly believe in Christ enter into His rest, experiencing peace from their labors and the burden of sin.

Belief in Christ is foundational to entering into God's rest, as affirmed in Hebrews 4:3, which states that those who believe do enter into rest. This rest includes security from the condemnation of sin and liberation from the burdens of trying to earn God's favor through works. Our high priest, Jesus, has completed the work necessary for our salvation, thus granting us a present peace. The assurance of peace from faith in Christ is not merely a future hope, but a current reality for believers who trust in His atoning sacrifice and the righteousness He provides.
