How do we know that believers are clothed in the righteousness of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are clothed in Christ's righteousness through imputed grace, as taught in scripture, especially in Romans and Ephesians.

The righteousness that adorns the bride of Christ is a gift of grace, as articulated in Ephesians 2:8-9, where it states that it is by grace through faith that we are saved. This imputed righteousness of Christ fulfills all the requirements of God's law, allowing believers to stand justified before God. They cannot rely on their own works for righteousness because, as Romans 3:10 says, 'There is none righteous, no, not one.' Instead, believers rely entirely on Christ, who is the embodiment of righteousness and whose perfect obedience is credited to them.
