How do we know that believers are freed from sin?

The assurance that believers are freed from sin is rooted in the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit. When God awakens a person to their sinfulness and grace, they are made new creatures capable of resisting sin’s dominion. This transformation allows them to see the emptiness of their previous lives and empowers them to walk in obedience to God. Ephesians 1:4-5 also affirms that believers are chosen and adopted, thus free from the condemnation of sin. This new identity equips them to strive against sin and demonstrate love and service to others.
