How do we know that believers are holy according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are declared holy because they are written among the living and are justified through Christ's righteousness.

The scripture emphasizes that those who are considered holy are encompassed by God's grace and mercy. In Isaiah 4:3, it states that everyone left in Zion and Jerusalem shall be called holy. This holiness is not a result of our works but flows from our union with Christ. Ephesians 1:4 affirms that believers were chosen in Christ to be holy and blameless before God. This holiness denotes being set apart, justified by the righteousness of Christ which is credited to us, as stated in Romans 4:4-8. Essentially, it is through Christ’s sacrifice and imputation of His righteousness that we are declared holy, having no guilt before God.
