How do we know that believers are not sinlessly perfect?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that believers still have a sinful nature and can fall into sin (Galatians 6:1).

In Galatians 6:1, there is acknowledgment that even believers may be overtaken in faults, indicating that sin remains a reality in their lives. This underscores the doctrine that while believers are saved from the penalty of sin, they still contend with the remnants of sin in their flesh. The apostle Paul emphasizes that true Christians do not sin intentionally; however, they are not immune to temptation or stumbling. Recognizing this truth helps believers maintain humility and dependence on God's grace for restoration and sanctification.
