How do we know that believers are righteous in God's sight?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are considered righteous in God's sight due to their faith in Christ and His atoning sacrifice.

According to Paul's teaching, believers are accounted as righteous not because of their own deeds, but because of what Christ has done on their behalf. In Titus 2:14, it states that Christ gave Himself to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify a people for Himself. This is the basis of our standing before God. Though we still struggle with sin, God's grace covers our sins and we are viewed as righteous because of our union with Christ. Therefore, our identity as righteous people comes from being in Him and experiencing His justification.
