How do we know that believers are safe in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are secure in Christ because He knows them personally and protects them as their Good Shepherd (John 10:27).

In John 10:27, Jesus states, 'My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.' This relationship is foundational to understanding the security of the believer. The intimacy of knowing and being known by the Good Shepherd assures us that He protects His own and will not allow them to stray or be lost. Furthermore, Jesus affirms this safety by declaring that He and the Father are one, showing that their divine power collectively guarantees the salvation of those who believe. This powerful bond between the believer and the Triune God underscores the assurance that those who truly belong to Him will be safe and secure forever.
