How do we know that believers are secure in their salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are secure in their salvation because they are united to Christ and protected by God's sovereign power.

The security of believers is anchored in their union with Christ. As stated in Hebrews 12:23, we have come to God, the judge of all, who has declared that we are no longer under condemnation. This security is further affirmed by the understanding that God's power, as the sovereign protector, oversees our salvation. Philippians 1:6 emphasizes that 'He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.' Our salvation is not dependent on our efforts but rests firmly on the finished work of Christ, who mediates for us and assures us of our eternal safety and acceptance. This teaches us to rest in God’s faithfulness and the assurance that nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39).
