How do we know that believers are seen as foolish by the world?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are often labeled as foolish or insane by the world due to their faith in a Gospel that contradicts worldly values.

The world perceives believers as foolish because their faith leads them to embrace truths that defy earthly logic and norms. In 1 Corinthians 1, Paul notes that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. This explains why a believer’s dedication, such as giving their life and resources to Christ, appears mad to those who do not share the same spiritual understanding. The believer’s reliance on faith, prayer, and Christ's redemptive work ultimately leads them further from worldly acceptance and into the realm of divine wisdom, which is often misunderstood and rejected.
