How do we know that believers cannot be separated from God's love?

The assurance that nothing can separate believers from the love of God comes from understanding the nature of Christ's work in salvation. Romans 8:33-34 emphasizes that it is God who justifies, and if no charge can be laid against God’s elect, then there can be no condemnation. Since Christ died and is now raised, seated at the right hand of God making intercession, believers rest in the eternal promise that they are secured in His love and grace, and no affliction or power can disrupt this union.
