How do we know that believers have no sin?

Answered in 1 source

Believers have no sin because they are in Christ, who takes away all sin (1 John 3:5).

We know believers have no sin because the Scripture affirms that those in Christ are redeemed and justified through His blood. 1 John 3:5 states, 'He was manifested to take away our sin.' Thus, all the sins of the elect—past, present, and future—are blotted out and remembered no more. Just as Christ has no sin, those who are united with Him in faith are viewed as holy and blameless. Therefore, there is no basis for condemnation because all judgment for sin has been satisfied in Christ.
