How do we know that believers will be holy?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are holy because they are born again of the Spirit, which marks them as set apart for God’s purposes.

Believers are called to holiness because they are born of the Holy Spirit, as highlighted in Psalm 110:3 and echoed in 1 Peter 1:16, 'Be ye holy; for I am holy.' The regenerative work of the Holy Spirit creates a new identity in Christ, and this identity is characterized by a commitment to holiness. The transformation that occurs at the new birth leads to a life that reflects God's own holiness, driving believers towards separation from sin and a lifestyle that honors God. The call to holiness is a fundamental aspect of being God's people, as it demonstrates the authenticity of their faith and relationship with Him.
