How do we know that believers will not lose their salvation?

Answered in 2 sources

Believers are assured of their salvation because it is God who initiates, sustains, and ultimately perfects their faith.

Believers can have confidence that they will not lose their salvation because it is grounded in the unchangeable character of God (Malachi 3:6). Romans 8:38-39 asserts that nothing can separate us from the love of God. This means that if God begins a work of salvation in an individual, He will certainly finish it. The ministry of Christ as our intercessor reinforces this assurance, proving that our standing with God rests not on our works but entirely on His grace. The assurance of salvation is eternal and unshakable for those whom Christ has redeemed.
