How do we know that children can be saved?

Answered in 1 source

Children can be saved by the sovereign will of God and the redemptive work of Christ, independent of their understanding.

The assurance that children can be saved lies in understanding that salvation is the work of God alone, as highlighted in the sermon. The essence of salvation does not rely on a child's ability to understand or exert their will, as seen in how Jesus laid His hands on the children, affirming their rightful place in the Kingdom of Heaven. Scripture emphasizes that all, including infants and young children, are in need of redemption due to the inherent sin nature passed down from Adam. Therefore, we place our confidence in God’s sovereign grace and His ability to save, which is not limited by human understanding or effort.
