How do we know that Christ accomplished peace between God and His people?

Answered in 1 source

Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross is the ultimate proof of His peace-making work between us and God.

The accomplishment of peace between God and His people is evidenced by Christ’s sacrificial work on the cross, fulfilling the law and assuming the punishment for our sins. As stated in Ephesians 2:13-16, those who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. His death satisfied God’s justice and fulfilled the requirements of the law, thus removing the barriers that existed due to sin. By reconciling us in His body through the cross, Christ not only established peace but also created a new humanity, united in Him.
