How do we know that Christ came to save His people?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's mission was specific; He came to save those whom the Father had given to Him before the foundation of the world.

The understanding of Christ's saving work is rooted in the clear teaching of Scripture, which presents His mission as specifically oriented toward a particular group of people: His sheep. As expressed in John 10:26-27, Christ states, 'You do not believe because you are not among my sheep.' This highlights that belief in Him is a result of being known and chosen by Him. The confidence of our hope lies in His promise that He will not lose any of those whom the Father has entrusted to Him. Christ's deliberate and purposeful pursuit reveals that God has a predetermined plan for the salvation of His people, intricately woven into the fabric of redemptive history.
