How do we know that Christ can open our spiritual ears?

In the sermon, it is highlighted that Christ, who is the Word of God, has the power to open spiritual ears so that one can hear and understand divine truth. The healing of the deaf man in Mark 7 serves as an illustration of this reality. It is said that 'if the Lord doesn't open ears, they won't be opened.'
