How do we know that Christ can provide mercy?

Answered in 1 source

Christ can provide mercy because He is God, at the right hand of the Father, and has accomplished salvation through His sacrifice.

The assurance that Christ can provide mercy and healing stems from three key factors. First, it is rooted in who He is—Jesus is God incarnate, the Lamb of God, making Him wholly capable of saving and healing. Secondly, where He is, at the right hand of the Father, signifies His authority and acceptance in heaven. Lastly, what He has done—His death for our sins—secures the righteousness we need before God. This triumvirate of identity, position, and sacrificial act establishes the firm foundation upon which we can trust in Christ's mercy.
