How do we know that Christ cleanses us from sin?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's cleansing power is shown through His sacrificial death and the outpouring of His blood.

The cleansing of sin is a central theme in the Bible, fulfilled in the work of Christ. Isaiah 53:5 states, 'He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities.' Christ's blood, shed on the cross, serves as the perfect atonement for our sins, washing us clean. As seen in Ephesians 1:7, 'In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.' Thus, Christ's death provides the assurance of cleansing and reconciliation for believers.
