How do we know that Christ fulfills God's requirements for our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The perfection God required of us is provided through Jesus Christ, as emphasized in Hebrews and supported by John's declaration of Christ's finished work.

The essence of our faith rests in the belief that Christ alone fulfills all the requirements set by God for our salvation. Hebrews explains that the Old Covenant, with all its sacrifices and rituals, was but a shadow of what was to come in Christ (Hebrews 10:1). By contrasting the insufficiency of these rituals with Christ's perfect obedience, the Scripture confirms that only through His sacrifice can we stand justified before God. As Jesus stated on the cross, 'It is finished' (John 19:30), affirming that He has completed the work necessary for our reconciliation with the Father. Therefore, our assurance does not lie in our performance but in His perfection and obedience on our behalf.
