How do we know that Christ has opened our ears?

Answered in 1 source

We know Christ has opened our ears when we desire to hear and obey God's Word.

The opening of our ears is evidenced by a genuine desire to hear and obey the Word of God. When the Lord opens our ears, we gain an appetite for His truth, as articulated in John 10:27, where Jesus states, 'My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.' This transformation involves not only the capacity to hear but also a willingness to act upon what is heard, leading to an increased desire for fellowship with the Word and God's people. A spiritually open ear also reflects that Christ has redeemed us, as only those for whom Christ died can truly appreciate this gift.
