How do we know that Christ heals our spiritual pride?

Answered in 1 source

Christ heals our spiritual pride by shutting our mouths and showing us our need for His grace, just as He did for the man with dropsy.

In Luke 14, Christ demonstrates His authority by healing a man with dropsy, which illustrates the spiritual condition of the Pharisees. This healing signifies that only Christ can cure the swelling of pride and self-righteousness within us. Before we can learn about our need for salvation, He first shuts our mouths through the law, making us aware of our condition. It is through the gospel of Christ's finished work that we find healing, and it is through His grace that we are set free from the bondage of pride, enabling us to humbly rely on Him for our righteousness.
