How do we know that Christ is central to the Christian faith?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the central figure of eternal life and the theme of the Bible, as stated by Peter in his letters.

Throughout the New Testament, especially in the writings of Peter, Christ is presented as the focal point of salvation and eternal life. In 1 Peter 5:1, Peter refers to himself as a partaker of the sufferings of Christ and a witness of His glory. This strengthens the understanding that the essence of the Christian faith revolves around the person and work of Christ. Additionally, John emphasizes in his writings that everything is made complete in Him. The significance of Christ is further reaffirmed in the call for elders to preach Him continually, for true transformation and nourishment come through understanding and embracing His person and work.
