How do we know that Christ is God's elect?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the elect of God, chosen to fulfill His divine purpose, as stated in Isaiah 42:1.

In Isaiah 42:1, God declares Christ as His elect in whom His soul delights. This election is not based on any merit from humanity but springs from God's sovereign will and purpose. Ephesians 1:4 further emphasizes that believers are chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. This radical implication of God's choice shows that without His electing grace, we, as sinful beings, would not seek Him or choose Him. Therefore, we find peace knowing that our identity as God's chosen ones is rooted in Christ.
