How do we know that Christ is King?

Answered in 6 sources

Christ's kingship is established through God's eternal decree and the resurrection, where He is recognized as the King of Heaven and Earth.

The knowledge of Christ as King is rooted in biblical revelation. Psalm 2 highlights God's declaration that He has appointed His Son as King, 'You are my Son; today I have begotten you' (Psalm 2:7). The resurrection of Jesus is pivotal, marking the moment He ascended to His rightful place at the right hand of the Father, having triumphed over death and sin. This act confirms His kingship as He reigns over all creation and serves as the mediator of God's covenant, ensuring that His people receive eternal life. The apostolic preaching in Acts 4 also affirms that Jesus, as the anointed one, fulfills this kingship with authority over all things.
