How do we know that Christ is our consolation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is our consolation as seen in His love and sacrifice, offering us peace with God (Romans 5:1).

Philippians 2:1 points to Christ as the ultimate source of consolation for believers. Simeon recognized Christ as the consolation of Israel when he beheld Him (Luke 2:25). Furthermore, through Christ's sacrifice, believers are afforded peace with God because we are justified by faith (Romans 5:1). The comfort we receive in Him is not only emotional but also spiritual, as He fulfills our deepest needs by reconciling us to God and assuring us of His everlasting love and mercy.
