How do we know that Christ is our eternal salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ, through His obedience and suffering, has become the author of eternal salvation for those who obey Him.

The author of Hebrews tells us that Jesus, though He was the Son of God, learned obedience through what He suffered, ultimately becoming the author of eternal salvation for all who obey Him (Hebrews 5:8-9). His sacrifice, depicted in poignant terms during His prayer in Gethsemane, underscores the theological truth that salvation is an act of grace, bestowed upon those chosen by God before the foundation of the world. It reaffirms that Christ’s perfect obedience and His sacrificial love guarantee salvation for the elect, who respond in faith and obedience.
