How do we know that Christ is our example in submitting to authority?
Answered in 1 source
Christ exemplifies submission ultimately by willingly serving and obeying the Father, even to death.
Christ serves as the ultimate model of submission to authority. Though He possessed all power and authority, He submitted to the Father's will, demonstrating perfect obedience even unto death (Philippians 2:8). The reverence and humility Christ displayed before earthly authorities reveal the heart of true submission. His actions, such as washing the disciples' feet despite being their Lord, further illustrate that authority does not preclude servanthood. Therefore, as Christians, we are called to emulate this attitude in our interactions with all forms of authority. This not only shows our humility but also proclaims the gospel through our conduct.
