How do we know that Christ is our refuge during trials?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ is affirmed as our refuge through Old Testament prophecies and the assurance of His presence in our tribulations.

The assurance that Christ is our refuge during trials is rooted in both Old Testament prophecy and New Testament fulfillment. For example, Isaiah 32 speaks of a man being a hiding place from the wind, which is a foreshadowing of Christ as the ultimate refuge for His people. This theme continues in the New Testament, where Jesus promises His followers that they will face trials but can find peace in Him (John 16:33). Furthermore, believers are reminded that their comfort and strength come from God, who is always present in times of trouble. Thus, the biblical narrative consistently affirms Christ as the one in whom we can find refuge amidst life’s storms.
