How do we know that Christ is our rest?

Answered in 5 sources

We know Christ is our rest because He fulfilled all the law's requirements and offers redemption and salvation to weary souls.

Christ declares, 'It is finished' (John 19:30), signifying the completion of all that was needed for our salvation. When He died on the cross, He satisfied the demands of God's justice, providing the needed rest for our guilt-ridden souls. Romans 3:22-24 highlights that righteousness is attained through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. If we seek to meet God's law through our own efforts, we will find only condemnation, but in Christ, we find redemption and rest, as He is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
