How do we know that Christ is our surety?

Answered in 4 sources

Christ is our surety because He fulfilled the requirements of the covenant of grace through His life, death, and resurrection.

Christ, as our surety, guarantees our salvation because He fulfilled all conditions necessary to satisfy God's justice on our behalf. The assurance of this comes from the Scriptures which affirm that He took upon Himself the sins of His people, dying and rising again to secure their righteousness. Romans 4:6-8 emphasizes that God counts us righteous without our works, attributing Christ's righteousness to us instead. This reflects the mercy and grace of the covenant, showing that our salvation rests entirely on Christ's accomplished work, not our own efforts.
