How do we know that Christ is our ultimate sacrifice?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible affirms that Christ's sacrifice is the only sufficient atonement for sin, fulfilling the requirements of the Old Testament sacrifices.

Throughout Scripture, especially in passages like Hebrews 10, we learn that the blood of bulls and goats was never sufficient to take away sin. Instead, Christ, as the Lamb of God, provided the perfect sacrifice that fulfills all Old Testament types. His atoning work on the cross not only satisfies God's justice but also secures our redemption. In 1 Samuel 2, the greater implications of these sacrifices were pointed to by the actions of Eli's sons, who dishonored the Lord's commands regarding sacrifices. The real essence of these Old Testament practices was to foreshadow the coming of Christ and His righteousness, which is the basis of our acceptance before God.
