How do we know that Christ is our wisdom?

Answered in 9 sources

We know Christ is our wisdom because He reveals the nature of God and the depth of our need for salvation through His life and teachings.

In 1 Corinthians 1:30, Paul writes that 'Christ Jesus has become for us wisdom from God.' This indicates that through His person and work, Christ reveals to us the profound truths of God, particularly concerning our state as sinners and our need for redemption. By understanding His role as both fully God and fully man, we see the depth of His wisdom in addressing our plight. He teaches us truths that we cannot learn on our own, shining light on our sinful condition and guiding us toward the hope found in Him. Therefore, recognizing Christ as our wisdom involves acknowledging His divine nature and redemptive work as integral to our understanding of God.
