How do we know that Christ is the great Physician?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is called the great Physician because He came to heal the spiritually sick and save us from sin.

In the context of Mark 2:13-22, Christ's role as the great Physician is made evident through His actions and His response to the Pharisees. He did not come solely as a law-giver or teacher but to heal the sick, morally and spiritually. The Scribes and Pharisees criticized Him for associating with sinners, yet Jesus pointed out that those who are well do not need a doctor, but the sick do. His mission was to bring healing and salvation to those who recognize their spiritual illness, thus affirming that no one is too far gone to be restored by His grace and compassion. His power to heal reflects His divine authority and compassionate nature.
