How do we know that Christ is the living water?

Answered in 1 source

Christ describes Himself as the living water, essential for spiritual life and sustenance.

In John 4:13-14, Jesus tells the Samaritan woman at the well that while the water from the well will not satisfy her thirst, the water He offers leads to everlasting life. This metaphor highlights that Christ is the spiritual nourishment we truly need, akin to how a physical wellspring sustains life with water. He emphasizes that those who drink of this living water will never thirst again, affirming His sufficiency and the eternal life He grants to those who believe in Him. Thus, the wellspring of life is fundamentally found in our relationship with Christ.
