How do we know that Christ is the mediator between God and man?

Christ is uniquely positioned as the mediator between God and man, as affirmed in scripture. In John 14:6, Jesus states, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.' This underscores His divine authority. Furthermore, 1 Timothy 2:5 reinforces that 'there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' Because Christ is fully divine and fully human, He bridges the gap created by sin, allowing believers to encounter and understand God. His mediatorial role encompasses both declaring God's will and interceding on behalf of humanity.
