How do we know that Christ is the object of our faith?

Answered in 3 sources

Scripture states that Christ is the object of our faith, as seen in multiple passages that affirm His central role in our relationship with God.

The Bible reveals that Christ is the sole object of our faith. Hebrews 12:2 exhorts believers to look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. This means that faith is rooted in Christ alone, as He is our mediator, high priest, and atonement. First John 2:1 emphasizes that we have an advocate with the Father — Jesus Christ the righteous. When we approach God, it is through Christ that we have access (Ephesians 2:18). The believer’s assurance and hope are not based on personal merit or works but solely on what Christ has accomplished for us, reinforcing the idea that our faith centers upon Him and His redemptive work.
