How do we know that Christ is the only light?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible affirms that Christ is uniquely qualified as the only light, as seen in His divine nature and teachings.

Scripture affirms that there is no other source of light where salvation is concerned but Christ Himself. In Hebrews 1:3, it says that He is the 'brightness of [God's] glory,' which emphasizes His divinity and preeminence. Additionally, John 1:5 states that 'the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.' This illustrates not only the uniqueness of Christ but also His victory over sin and death. As believers, understanding Christ as the sole light reinforces our reliance upon Him for salvation and our identity as His followers, called to be reflections of that light in the world.
