How do we know that Christ is the righteous one?

Answered in 1 source

Christ fulfills the definition of righteousness as He lived without sin and perfectly obeyed God's law.

In the sermon, it is emphasized that Christ alone embodies the righteous man described in Psalm 1. He did not walk in the counsel of the wicked nor sit with scoffers. His life was a perfect expression of God's will; He delighted in the law of the Lord, which indicates His righteousness. The New Testament confirms this by stating that He was tempted in all ways yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Therefore, those who trust in Him are considered righteous because of their faith in His perfect work of redemption. Christ's righteousness is credited to believers, assuring their standing before God.
