How do we know that Christ is the wise man in the parable from Ecclesiastes?

Answered in 1 source

Hebrews 1:3 affirms that Christ, like the wise man, delivered us by His wisdom.

The parable found in Ecclesiastes, particularly the image of the poor wise man, is often applied to Christ. As the ultimate wise man, He delivered the faithful from sin and death. Hebrews 1:3 states that He purged our sins by Himself, much like the wise man in the parable who single-handedly saved the city. Furthermore, 1 Corinthians 1:24 identifies Christ as the wisdom of God, solidifying His role as the Poor Wise Man whose wisdom surpasses all earthly authority.
