How do we know that Christ is worthy to open the seals?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is worthy to open the seals because He is both the Lion of Judah and the Lamb who was slain, having defeated sin through His sacrificial death.

The worthiness of Christ to open the seals of the scroll in Revelation 5 is beautifully depicted in His dual role as the Lion of Judah and the Lamb. This imagery highlights His sovereign power as well as His sacrificial love. As the Lamb who was slain, Christ willingly offered Himself as a sacrifice, satisfying the demands of God's law for the redemption of His people. Thus, His victory over death and sin qualifies Him to implement God's eternal plan and establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.
