How do we know that Christ keeps us from apostasy?

Answered in 1 source

We are kept from apostasy by Christ’s power, as He holds us firmly in His hands, ensuring that none shall be plucked out.

Christ Himself assures us of our security and perseverance. In John 10:28-29, Jesus states that His sheep are given eternal life and none will be lost or snatched from His hand. The preservation of believers is completely dependent on Christ holding us fast until the end. It is not by our own abilities or strength that we remain steadfast in faith; rather, it is by the power of God working through faith (1 Peter 1:5). Therefore, if one continues to hold onto their faith and remains rejoicing in Christ until the end, it confirms their position as a true believer, demonstrating that Christ is the one sustaining them.
