How do we know that Christ lives in us?

Answered in 1 source

We know that Christ lives in us by the manifestation of His character in our lives and the transformation of our thoughts and actions.

The evidence of Christ living in us can be observed through a gradual transformation into His likeness. If Christ genuinely dwells in our hearts, there should be noticeable changes in our conduct, speech, and attitudes reflecting the gentleness and love of Christ. As stated in Colossians 1:27, 'Christ in you, the hope of glory,' signifies that His presence is not merely theoretical but practical, leading us to exhibit the fruits of the Spirit in our daily lives. The old self, with its sinful tendencies, begins to yield to the transformative power of Christ, revealing the divine nature and character emanating from within us.
