How do we know that Christ must reign?

Answered in 1 source

The necessity of Christ's reign is affirmed in Scripture, stating that He must reign until all enemies are subdued beneath Him.

1 Corinthians 15:24-26 states clearly, 'He must reign till He hath put all enemies under His feet.' This reflects the absolute sovereignty of Christ and His ongoing role in governing all creation and orchestrating the salvation of His people. His reign is not contingent upon earthly powers or circumstances; it is a divine mandate reflecting His position as King, securing the final victory over sin and death. The confidence we have in His sovereign reign assures us that the salvation of God's elect is being accomplished according to His perfect will.
