How do we know that Christ overcomes our sins?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's victory over sin and death is assured as He completed His work on the cross, defeating the ultimate foes of humanity.

The typology in 2 Samuel 21, where David battles the giants of Goliath's lineage, points to Christ, who crushed sin and death through His sacrifice. Just as David's men fought and won victories on behalf of their leader, so too did Christ, our greater David, conquer our sin. In Romans 8:32, it is affirmed that God, having given us His Son, will not withhold anything we need for victory. Believers can rest assured that through Christ's finished work on the cross, they have already been granted victory over sin and its consequences.
