How do we know that Christ provides rest for believers?

Answered in 1 source

Hebrews 4:9 states that there remains a rest for the people of God, which is realized in Christ.

In Hebrews 4:9, it is written, 'There remaineth, therefore, a rest to the people of God.' This rest is not merely physical but signifies a spiritual and eternal rest, fulfilled in Jesus Christ. By ceasing from our own works as God ceased from His, we are to enter into the rest that Christ secured through His completed work on the cross. John 19:30 reinforces this notion when Christ declared, 'It is finished,' indicating that through His sacrifice, He has fully paid the debt of sin for His people, providing them with peace and assurance of salvation. This rest is a profound aspect of the believer’s experience, reminding us that our striving is over, allowing us to rest in His grace.
